Liam Payne launching livestream concert series 'The LP Show'

Andreas Rentz/Getty Images for LaureusHis former bandmate Harry Styles has had to cancel his world tour, but Liam Payne has come up with a way to bring live performance to his fans.

As Billboard reports, on July 17, Liam will launch The LP Show on Veeps, an “online experiential platform” developed by Good Charlotte‘s Benji and Joel Madden. The platform lets artists sell tickets for live-stream performances directly to fans.

The first installment of The LP Show, dubbed “Act 1,” will feature a real-time concert with full production and a live band, streamed to fans worldwide at a socially-distanced venue.

Billboard quotes a press release which states that, via special effects, “Liam will be uniquely equipped to interact with his audience during the show.”

Fans will be able to pay what they wish for tickets, starting at a price of $10, and a portion of the proceeds will go to The Trussell Trust, a charity that works with 1200 food banks across the U.K. to help people get access to food amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Liam’s top Spotify listeners will get first crack at tickets via the streaming service’s Fans First program. The general public can buy them starting Friday at 3 p.m. ET.
