Pitbull teams with life coach Tony Robbins for new chain of boxing fitness centers

ABC/Eric McCandlessPitbull‘s latest business venture will knock you out…literally.

The rapper is teaming with life coach Tony Robbins to launch a new line of fitness centers focusing on boxing.  GRIT BXNG will open its flagship location this June in New York City, and will feature playlists curated by Pitbull, motivational content from Robbins on giant video screens, two lounges and a million-dollar light and sound system.

The chain will also feature a signature workout: a 50-minute high-intensity class based on the fundamentals of boxing.

If you don’t want to join the gym, consider being an instructor: Starting in May, GRIT BXING will hold auditions for the best trainers from around the world, and will pay these so-called “fitness superstars” $1,000 an hour.  Guests will be able to rate their instructors and pay them tips via an app, just like you do with Uber.

The partnership is extremely meaningful for Pitbull, who first encountered Robbins’ work as a kid and connected with his message about using positivity to overcome adversity.  He’s since applied this idea to everything he’s done.

“With each new project I approach, the words ‘you can’t’ and ‘no’ are just motivators that propel me to succeed and fuel my fire. That mentality is exactly what GRIT BXNG embodies to me,” Pitbull says in a statement.
