ABC/Image Group LAOver the weekend, Cardi B marked the one-year anniversary of the release of her debut album Invasion of Privacy by declaring, “I AINT GOING TO WEAR NO PANTIES TODAY !!!!!” But now she’s got an even bigger reason to celebrate.
“Woke up to the best news ever!!” she tweeted on Monday. “Crazy how on Saturday I was celebrating my album one year anniversary today I find out it’s certified 3X platinum!!!This makes me happy and brings me anxiety cause I gotta go maaaa hard for my next album. Im soooooo happy!!”
In other Cardi news, it seems she and deejay/producer Marshmello are cooking up a collab. On her Instagram Story, captured by Pop Crave, we see three chocolate cupcakes topped with squares of white with Marshmello’s logo on them. We then see Cardi’s nails tapping against a table.
“Wonder what Marshmello man wants from me?” she asks. “They sent these delicious cupcakes. Is it…is it…a hit record???? Hmmm.”
As Billboard notes, back in February, Marshmello tweeted that working with Cardi B this year was one of his dreams. Looks like that one, at least, has come true.
