ABC/Paula LoboHalsey recently lent her voice to the animated movie Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, but she’s now revealed that she has a part in a live-action movie that’s getting Oscar buzz: Lady Gaga‘s A Star Is Born.
“I guess now is a good time to finally tell you guys that I have a little cameo in A Star Is Born!” she tweeted. “Thank you so so much to Gaga and [director and co-star] Bradley [Cooper] for including me. It was an honor to watch both of your talent and dedication on set. an all time life highlight for me for sure.”
When a fan asked if Halsey plays herself or a character in the film, she replied, “I play myself for a very small moment! Which is insane because it means Gaga and Bradley saw me worthy of representing a piece of the current state of music in this film forever.”
“They could have picked any artist,” she added. “It was so humbling and unreal.”
A Star Is Born tells the story of Ally, a rising star who’s taken under the wing of an aging singer named Jackson Maine. They fall in love, but her career soon eclipses his. You’ll get to see Gaga, Cooper and Halsey when the movie opens on October 5, the same day the Gaga-filled soundtrack arrives.
