A source has confirmed to People magazine that Demi Lovato left Cedars-Sinai hospital over the weekend and is now in rehab.
“She will get continued care at an in-patient rehab facility,” the source tells People. “At the hospital, she was surrounded by family and friends that support her sobriety. They all want Demi to be the best she can. Demi is surrounded by a lot of love.”
The source continues, “She has people in her life that really care. She has a long journey ahead, but with all the love, her journey could absolutely be a positive one.”
Demi was rushed to the hospital July 24 after an overdose. At the end of June, she released the song “Sober,” in which she’d revealed that she’d fallen off the wagon after six years.
As previously reported, over the weekend, Demi released a statement on Instagram in which she thanked her friends, family, friends and the hospital staff, and promised to “keep fighting” to get better. Among the stars taking to social media to send her love and support: Sam Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Luis Fonsi, Noah Cyrus, and Macklemore.
