Atlantic RecordsCamila Cabello joins her former tour mate Bazzi on a new version of his track, “Beautiful,” out today.
The song, about expressing your adoration for someone, features a brand-new verse written by Camila. She says hearing Bazzi perform the song while opening for her on her Never Be the Same tour inspired her to be a part of it.
“I fell more and more in love with it hearing it backstage every night and a couple weeks ago on a day off from shows in Washington D.C., I went to a studio there and wrote a verse to the song,” she says in a statement. “It’s one of my favorite songs out right now. I hope people love it as much as I do.”
Bazzi adds that Camila understood the mood he was going for with the song.
“Working with Camila is really cool because she gives a similar vibe of what I’m trying to portray. A nod to 80’s nostalgic music that really creates an experience,” he says. “I think she really captures that and I’m excited for people to hear our moment together.”
Camila is currently opening for Taylor Swift on her Reputation tour, as well as playing her own headlining dates. Bazzi’s Cosmic tour wraps next week.
