Listen now: Selena Gomez gets “Back to You” with new song from “13 Reasons Why” soundtrack

Interscope RecordsSelena Gomez has 13 Reasons Why you should listen to her new single.

It’s called “Back to You” and it appears on the soundtrack for season two of the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, which Selena executive-produces.  The lyric video features scenes from the upcoming season, as Selena sings about missing a former lover.

“I wanna hold you when I’m not supposed to/When I’m lying close to someone else/You’re stuck in my head and I can’t get you out of it/If I could do it all again/I know I’d go back to you,” she sings.

The season two soundtrack for 13 Reasons Why comes out May 18, and in addition to the Selena single, it also features “Start Again,” a new song by One Republic featuring Logic.  Like the soundtrack for the first season, there are also a bunch of tracks from new wave bands of the ’80s, including Echo & the Bunnymen, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Tears for Fears, New Order, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and The Alarm.

A portion of the proceeds from each album sale will go to Crisis Text Line, which provides free, 24/7, confidential crisis intervention.  Proceeds also go to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people.

According to Netflix, in season two of 13 Reasons Why, a serious of Polaroid photos lead Clay and his classmates to discover that Hannah wasn’t the only victim of Liberty High’s elite.
