ABC/Craig SjodinOver the weekend, Katy Perry fulfilled a “Teenage Dream:” She got to meet the Pope.
Katy posted a photo of herself meeting His Holiness Pope Francis, with the caption, “Honored to be in the presence of His Holiness @Pontifex‘s compassionate heart and inclusivity.”
With her in the photo was Orlando Bloom who, it appears, we can safely assume is back together with Katy. In fact, in her Instagram Story, she referred to Orlando as “my darling.”
How did this come about? Well, Katy attended a conference called “Unite to Cure” at the Vatican over the weekend. Organized by the Cura Foundation, the conference deals with the latest technology and methods in health care. Katy, a huge proponent of Transcendental Meditation, or TM, took part in the portion of the conference called “Impacting Children’s Health Through Meditation Globally.”
On Instagram, she posted a video of herself at the conference, and wrote, “I’m inspired and encouraged…and grateful to share how meaningful transcendental meditation has been for me.”
Katy is currently on her Witness world tour; her next show is later this week in Mexico City.
