Kevork Djansezian/NBCKelly Clarkson met her idol Meryl Streep at the Golden Globes last night, and the first episode of her new web series predicted the whole thing.
The series, called A Minute and a Glass of Wine, debuted on Kelly’s website last night. The first episode was entitled “Meeting Meryl,” and involved Kelly gushing over the actress and listing all the things they have in common.
She talked about how she hoped to meet Meryl at the Globes, and she must have manifested it into reality, because their meeting on the red carpet was captured by E!’s cameras.
After her interview with Ryan Seacrest, Kelly spotted Meryl and called her out to her, saying, “Can I meet you? I am such a fan!”
“I’ve adored you since I was like eight,” she told Meryl before giving her a hug.
Kelly later tweeted a link to her “Meeting Meryl” webisode with the caption, “If only I could have told my future self about what’s happening right now!!!”
In addition to Meryl, Kelly also met Steve Carell for the first time at the Globes. The actor famously shouted her name during the chest-waxing scene in The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
