Courtesy H&MG-Eazy’s always been fashion forward, but now he’ll get a chance to share his style with fans. His new collection for H&M, called The G-Eazy X H&M collection, arrives March 1 online and in stores worldwide.
The rapper says he was “honored” that H&M wanted to work with him, noting, “I loved what they did with The Weeknd…I just think they represent a very tasteful approach to fashion at an affordable mass-level, and I really respect it.”
He adds that the collection is “such a cool opportunity” and “a way to take my taste and style and inspirations and turn that into clothes that are accessible on such an enormous scale.”
But the “No Limits” rapper admits that it took him a while to develop his own style.
“When I was a kid, I dressed up as Batman almost every single day,” he recalls. “When I was growing up as a teenager, the clothes were a lot baggier then, and I cringe when I see some of the pictures, but those were the times. I was always in tune with whatever inspired me at that time.”
He says today, his three fashion necessities are “a great leather jacket,” “black skinny jeans” and “a good pair of boots.”
The rapper’s clothing line will feature tailored streetwear in checks and vivid color.
