ABC/Randy HolmesNick Jonas will be giving us the gift of new Christmas music this holiday season.
The singer tells MTV News he’ll be releasing some original Christmas tunes this year.
“It’s kind of challenging because you think, you know, do I want to do the traditional Christmas vibe, or give it a flip and do something different with it?” Nick says.
Ultimately, he says, he took the latter approach. “I wrote songs that kind of sound like they could be on any one of my records, but they happen to be about Christmas,” he says.
Nick hops on the Christmas music bandwagon with artists including Sia, Gwen Stefani and 98 Degrees. Gwen’s Christmas album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, is already out, while 98 Degrees’ Let It Snow comes out October 20. Sia’s album doesn’t yet have a release date.
