Jason Derulo joins New Orleans Mardi Gras bash

Drew Dizzy GrahamJason Derulo and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart will be joining in on the Mardi Gras celebrations next year.

According to NOLA.com, the two acts have been added to the lineup for the 2018 Endymion Extravaganza, a celebration taking place following the Endymion Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans.

The parade, staged by the Krewe of Endymion, is the largest Mardi Gras parade in the Big Easy.  A “krewe” is the New Orleans word for a organization that stages parades.

Endymion founder and captain Ed Muniz says Rod and Jason might also ride a float in the parade if the weather is good. The parade’s theme will be “Jazz – Our Gift to the World.”

The Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, February 10 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Past performers at the event have included Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull and Flo Rida.
