After teasing fans about the possible release of a new song, Pink has now confirmed that we’ll be getting it Thursday.
The song is called “What About Us,” and it’s the first release from what will presumably be the singer’s first solo studio project since 2012’s The Truth About Love.
On Instagram, Pink wrote, “It’s the start of us waking up…#WhatAboutUs Out this Thursday 8/10.” An accompanying graphic shows the singer, in black and white, posing with a group of people of different races.
Pink’s last major pop hit was 2016’s “Just Like Fire,” from the Alice Through the Looking Glass soundtrack. She also topped the country chart last year with “Setting the World on Fire,” her duet with Kenny Chesney.
In 2014, Pink and Canadian musician Dallas Green released a collaborative album titled Rose Ave. under the name You+Me.
