Is it too late now to say sorry? Justin Bieber is doing it anyway.
TMZ cameras caught up with Justin following his tour cancellation announcement, and he had an apologetic message for fans.
“I love you guys, I think you guys are awesome,” he says, addressing the fans. “I’m sorry for anyone who feels, like, disappointed or betrayed, it’s not in my heart or anything, and have a blessed day.”
As for why he cancelled, Justin says everything is fine, he just needs some rest and relaxation after being on the road for over a year — his Purpose world tour kicked off March 9, 2016.
John Mayer, meanwhile, came to Justin’s defense and commended his decision.
“When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” John tweeted, adding, “We’ve lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [two thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”
Justin announced Monday he was canceling the Purpose tour with just 14 dates remaining.
