Image Group LA/ABCWe’re only a third of the way through the year, but Selena Gomez can already point to one big highlight…and no, it’s not her romance with The Weeknd.
“Honestly, the show,” she tells Entertainment Tonight, referring to the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. Selena’s an executive producer of the series, which is based on a popular young adult novel. It’s has been both praised and criticized for its unflinching look at teen suicide.
“13 Reasons Why was a really big moment for me, just because we had the book for seven years and we worked so hard on it,” she tells ET. “But, everything. You know, my personal life, and my family and my friends, I’m just, I’m in a really happy place. It’s been good.”
Selena also revealed that a photo she posted online of herself sporting a new short haircut was a fakeout.
“Yes, it was a wig,” she tells ET. “It was a wig, everyone!”
