Demi Lovato scores first “Billboard” Hot 100 top-10 hit in four years with “Sorry Not Sorry”

Island Records/Hollywood Records/Safehouse Records LLCCongratulations to Demi Lovato: she’s scored her first top-10 hit in four years.

According to Billboard, Demi’s latest hit, “Sorry not Sorry,” has jumped from #15 to #10.  The last time she appeared in the top 10 was in 2013, with “Heart Attack.”  Surprisingly, “Cool for the Summer” just missed the top 10, peaking at #11. “Confident” peaked at #21.

Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” which Demi has been saying for weeks is her current favorite song, is spending a second week at #1 on the Hot 100.

Post Malone‘s “Rockstar,” featuring 21 Savage, holds at #2, while Taylor Swift‘s “Look What You Made Me Do” stays at #3 for a second week.

Alternative rockers Portugal. The Man see their first top-10 hit, “Feel It Still,” move from #10 to #7.

Also of note: Imagine Dragons‘ latest, “Thunder,” is the #1 selling digital song in the U.S., marking the first time in four years that a current rock song has taken that title.  The last time was Lorde‘s “Royals,” back in 2013.  But to find the last time a rock band had the #1 digital song in the U.S., you have to go back to 2010, for Train‘s “Hey Soul Sister.”  And yes, at that time, Billboard considered both Lorde and Train to be rock acts.
