It's 2017, but Rebecca Black is still a thing

Jesse DacriIt’s Friday, and wouldn’t you know it…we have a new song from Rebecca Black.

The singer, who grabbed headlines in 2011 at the age of 13 with her near-universally-derided song and video, “Friday,” has released a new single called “Heart Full of Scars.”  It’ll be included on her debut EP, which is coming out September 15 via PledgeMusic.

The now-20-year-old Rebecca uses several profanities in the track, as she sings about overcoming all the negativity she faced when she first became a YouTube sensation, attracting 100 million views in a month.

“Learn to say **** it, take my time/Life’s a b*** but I’ll make it mine,” she sings. “If you don’t like me get in line/You won’t break me, break me with your lies/I won’t feed into your dark/I’ll keep loving with a heart full of scars.”

Rebecca, who now has over a million YouTube subscribers, will hit the road starting October 1 for a concert tour called Love Is Love, along with LGBTQ YouTube stars Miles McKenna and Shannon Beveridge.  The tour is described as an “interactive live experience focused on acceptance, anti-bullying and equality.”   Tickets are on sale now.
