Courtesy Live Nation/The Outside Organisation/British Red CrossAriana Grande‘s One Love Manchester benefit concert this Sunday will feature huge stars like Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, but also some local, musically-talented students.
People magazine reports that The Parrs Wood Harmony Group, a high school choir, will also be on the bill. Some of their members are among those who attended Ariana’s concert in Manchester, where a terrorist bombing left 22 dead and 119 injured a week ago last Monday. The choir was asked to perform after Ariana heard their rendition of her song “My Everything,” which they recorded to raise money for the victims and their families.
The group’s musical director tells People the choir was surprised to get the invite as a result of their fundraising efforts.
“I actually can’t stress how proud we all are of them because they’ve just been so professional the whole time,” he says. “They got together and they just wanted to do something.”
The concert will air this Sunday on Freeform at 7:15 p.m. British Summer Time, which is 3:15 p.m. ET. Other acts on the bill include Miley Cyrus and The Black Eyed Peas.
