Kevin Mazur/WireImageHow do you get back at your ex-girlfriend? How about collaborating with her alleged sworn enemy? That seems to be what Calvin Harris doing with his new album.
The deejay, producer and songwriter posted a video on Twitter promoting his new disc, which is evidently titled Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. The video features a music clip over a shot of the ocean, and reveals a long list of collaborators, one of which is Katy Perry.
You may recall that after Calvin and his then-girlfriend Taylor Swift broke up in June of 2016, he publicly called her out on Twitter for trying to “bury” Katy, who allegedly inspired Taylor’s hit “Bad Blood.”
This week, Katy was asked if her new album would contain some sort of response to “Bad Blood,” and she gave a somewhat non-committal answer.
Other collaborators on Calvin’s new album, by the way, include Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Big Sean, Ariana Grande, Migos, and many, many more. It’s due June 30.
