See sneak peek of Selena Gomez in “The Dead Don't Die,” premiering at Cannes

Focus FeaturesA new preview clip of Selena Gomez’s zombie comedy, The Dead Don’t Die, has been released, ahead of its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival Tuesday.

The People exclusive clip features Selena’s character Zoe and two of her guy pals stopping by a convenience store, where they ask the cashier, played by Caleb Landry Jones, if there’s a motel nearby.

He tells them there’s one down the road, as Zoe picks up a CD called The Dead Don’t Die and comments that she loves the song.

One of her friends asks if the motel is similar to “the old-school horror movies, like in Psycho, with the separated bungalows.” The cashier corrects him, saying the Bates Motel wasn’t separated into bungalows. Things get awkward and the group of friends leave after paying for the CD and some sodas.

The Jim Jarmusch film, also starring Bill Murray and Adam Driver, debuts tonight, the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival. It hits theaters on June 14.

Selena posted a series of Instagram selfies ahead of the Cannes premiere, captioning it, “hi Cannes…you’re very pretty.”
