Kesha to perform at 2019 MusiCares Concert for Recovery honoring Macklemore

ABC/Paula LoboKesha has been added to the performance lineup of this year’s MusiCares Concert for Recovery, an event held each year by MusiCares, the charitable arm of the Recording Academy.

She’ll take the stage at the event, which supports MusiCares’ addiction recovery programs. “HandClap” hitmakers Fitz and the Tantrums will also be performing.

The concert, hosted by Joel McHale, will honor Kesha’s former tour mate and duet partner Macklemore, who’s struggled with addiction throughout his career. He’ll receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award in recognition for his support of MusiCares, and his commitment to helping others in their addiction recovery.

The event will also feature a tribute to late rapper Mac Miller, who died of an accidental overdose last September.

The 2019 MusiCares Concert for Recovery will take place Thursday, May 16 at The Novo at L.A. Live.
