Last year, when the singer was engaged to Pete Davidson, they both got a number of tattoos in tribute to each other. One of Ariana’s was the word “always” on her ribcage, in handwriting suspected of being Davidson’s. But now, she’s transformed that tat into something new.
Over the weekend, Ariana posted a photo of herself lying down and displaying her bare midriff, where her “always” tattoo is now inside a freshly-inked leaf, which is attached to a tattooed branch with several other leaves.
“not a cover up just evolvin,” she wrote, adding, “Also, our show opens tomorrow. i love u and i’m so grateful. see you soon.”
And on her Instagram Story, she posted a longer note about her tour, writing, “Literally never thought I’d be doing this. Six months ago, I didn’t think it [was] at all possible but I’m very grateful that it was and we did. Music is everything. Friendship is everything. Art is everything. I’m so proud of my incredible team…y’all are the best there is and I’m so grateful to create w/you.”
