It was in 2016 that Shawn was first signed to the prestigious Wilhelmina Models agency. Since then, he’s walked in runway shows, and starred in ads for an Emporio Armani collection. The Calvin Klein campaign is just his latest foray into modeling, but back when he was new to it, he admitted he had a hard time wrapping his head around the concept.
Not long after he first inked the Wilhelmina deal, Shawn told ABC Radio, “It’s just weird. Like, I’m a singer and now I’m a model. And, like, hopefully, maybe I’ll be an actor one day.”
When ABC Radio asked Shawn what his dream role would be as an actor, his thoughts went right to the superhero/fantasy genre.
“Umm…I have no idea. Maybe, like, Spider-Man — that would be, like, the coolest role ever!” he laughed. “Or Harry Potter.”
So far, Shawn’s one acting role has been in the now-canceled CW series The 100. But who knows? In the future, when they reboot Spider-Man for the fourth time, he may get a call. Meanwhile, the Grammy-nominated star is preparing to kick off his world tour. It starts March 7 in Amsterdam.
