Nick SpanosWe’ve heard from her group mates Normani and Lauren Jauregui, and now Fifth Harmony‘s Ally Brooke has dropped her debut solo single, “Low Key,” featuring Tyga, as well as an accompanying video.
The Latin-flavored bop is our first taste of Ally’s debut solo project, due out later this year. The video features Ally at a dance audition, first swearing she and a male dancer are “just friends,” but then engaging in some steamy moves with him in front of the judges.
“People never really got to see to the true me,” Ally says in a statement. “Now just being able to have my own freedom of being an artist is the most incredible feeling in the world.”
“I’m just someone who loves music and performing and loves the character that a record can bring,” she adds. “I’m so excited and ready to work, this all just feels like me.”
As previously reported, Ally will also be releasing her first book this year. Called Finding Your Harmony, it’s an inspirational memoir about how she’s navigated the ups and downs of fame while remaining true to herself.
