ABC/Image Group LAAs Taylor Swift gears up for her next “era,” her fans are already speculating about what her album’s next theme might be. Their guess? Mermaids.
Some Swifties on social media believe Taylor has been dropping mermaid-themed hints, the latest being The Little Mermaid costume she wore for her New Year’s Eve bash. A fan also noticed that Taylor is wearing a shirt with mermaids on it at the end of her Netflix reputation concert movie.
Another potential clue? The Little Mermaid was released on Nov. 13, 1989, exactly one month before Taylor was born.
One thing’s for certain: the Reputation era is definitely winding down. This week, Taylor’s app, The Swift Life, announced it’s coming to the end of its…swift life.
A message on the app’s Twitter page confirmed that the app will be shutting down on February 1, after first launching to coincide with her Reputation album in 2017.
“As the ‘Reputation’ era comes to an end, our time on The Swift Life will be ending too,” the message read.
“We would like to thank all the dedicated fans who downloaded The Swift Life, engaged with this amazing community and created gorgeous pieces of content for others to enjoy,” the statement concluded.
