Katy Perry is not about to have someone else date her man, even if it is for charity.
The singer outbid a fan to win a date with Orlando Bloom during the One Love Malibu benefit show on Sunday night to raise money for those affected by the Woolsey fire.
Katy, who also performed at the event, shelled out $50,000 for the date, trumping a fan’s bid of $20,000. While describing the date up for auction — which included a motorcycle ride and lunch — Katy got progressively more jealous.
“When you’re on the motorcycle with him, you’re holding him in a way that I am not excited about,” she told the crowd. “You’re holding his pecs and his six-pack — and it’s so glorious! You get to hold on to Orlando for about 45 minutes…and then, you get to stare into his brown eyes!”
One fan made the starting bid of $20,000 and when there were no more takers, Katy got cold feet about sending her man off with some other woman.
“Laura, I’m sorry,” she told the fan. “I’m buying it for $50,000.”
Katy then dropped the mic and left the stage.
