Mark Blinch/NHLI via Getty ImagesIf you didn’t already believe that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin officially tied the knot earlier this year, well, now, there’s no doubt: Justin is publicly referring to himself as a “married man.”
Captioning an Instagram post of snowy woods, Justin wrote, “Happy late thanksgiving to everyone. First thanksgiving as a married man, first time hosting thanksgiving. First time both sides of the family has come together.”
He added, “Relationships are hard and love isn’t always easy but thank you Jesus for showing me how! Every day is a learning process, trying to be more like him, patient, kind, selfless, boy I got a long way! But gods grace is sufficient !”
A source tells People magazine that Justin and Hailey celebrated the holiday — and her November 22 birthday — in his native Canada, adding, “Justin loves being in Canada because it’s very peaceful. He can take Hailey out and it’s not a mess with photographers. They are much more left alone. They seem very happy together.”
Justin’s mom Pattie Mallette shared some videos and photos from their holiday, including a Twitter video that shows Justin pushing Hailey’s face into a huge birthday sheet cake. But Hailey shared a photo of the two kissing right afterward, so there were no hard feelings.
Hailey is also now sporting a diamond necklace that reads “Bieber,” to go along with her name change on Instagram.
As for why the couple decided to go public, the source tells People, “After being married for a few weeks, they both realized that they actually felt like husband and wife without having a religious ceremony.”
A religious ceremony and reception are still in the works, however, according to the source.
