People has confirmed through sources that the two were legally married at a New York City courthouse on Thursday, just two months after getting engaged.
“They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone,” a source close to the couple tells the mag.
A religious source adds that the two will be having a religious ceremony and celebration with family and friends soon. “They’re going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love,” the insider says.
Rumors first started swirling that Justin, 24, and Hailey, 21, were hitched after TMZ posted photos of the two walking to the courthouse’s Marriage Bureau Thursday. Justin was apparently overheard saying, “I can’t wait to marry you, baby.”
The news comes just a day after Hailey confirmed to The Cut that the wedding would be in 2019, and revealed that she’d like get married “in the woods,” with “lights strung everywhere.”
She also said she had a wedding planner scouting locations, that she’d chosen a wedding dress designer, and that she’d selected her sister to be her bridesmaid. Of course, it’s possible she was only talking about a wedding party or reception.
