Neal PrestonIf you can’t wait to see Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born when it comes out on October 5, Entertainment Weekly has a sneak peek at the film to tide you over.
The clip shows Gaga’s aspiring singer Ally meeting Bradley Cooper’s established musician Jackson at a bar. He takes in an interest in her and asks why she doesn’t perform her own songs.
She explains that she doesn’t feel comfortable because “like, every single person I’ve come in contact with in the music industry has told me that my nose is too big and that I won’t make it.”
But Jackson thinks her nose is beautiful. He explains that it’s not just about talent, it’s about “having something to say and a way to say it so people listen to it.” He encourages Ally to get out there and tell people what she wants to say.
A Star Is Born had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last week and earned an eight-minute standing ovation, as well as rave reviews.
