ABC/Kelsey McNealThe success of Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line‘s collaboration was “Meant to Be.”
The song has now been #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for 35 weeks. That’s an all-time record: No song other song in the chart’s 60-year history has spent more weeks at #1. The previous record-holder was “Body Like a Back Road” by Sam Hunt, which ruled for 34 weeks in 2017.
Bebe tells Billboard, “I’m grateful to be able to create music that allows me to push limits and push myself. I’m grateful for all the love and warmth from the country community [and give] credit to country greats who influenced me…Here’s to writing with your heart and breaking boundaries.”
Meanwhile, Maroon 5‘s latest hit “Girls Like You” has earned them their own chart record.
The song has hit #1 on Billboard’s Radio Songs chart, which measures radio airplay across all musical genres. It’s the sixth time Maroon 5 has reached the top of that chart, giving them the record for most number-ones among groups. They were previously tied with Boyz II Men with five.
“Girls Like You” is also number one on the publication’s Pop Songs airplay chart, which measures radio airplay across radio stations that play pop music. It’s their 10th trip to the top on that chart, putting them behind only Katy Perry and Rihanna, who each have eleven number-ones.
