A source tells People that Nick popped the question to his girlfriend of two months, Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra. They reportedly got engaged a week ago while celebrating Priyanka’s 36th birthday in London.
According to the source, Nick closed down an entire Tiffany store in New York to purchase the ring. “They are so happy,” the insider adds.
On Thursday night, a director for the Indian film Bharat – in which Priyanka was set to star – sparked engagement rumors when he posted a cryptic tweet saying she would be leaving the project.
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her…Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life,” director Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted.
The two began dating in May, with Nick even traveling to India to meet Priyanka’s family.
If the engagement news is true, that means two Jonas weddings in the near future. Nick’s brother, Joe, is engaged to Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner.
