911 call about Demi Lovato's apparent overdose released: “No sirens, please”

ABC

The 911 call made on Demi Lovato’s behalf Tuesday morning when she was discovered suffering from an apparent drug overdose has been released.

Lovato’s assistant can be heard in the recording obtained by ABC News calmly asking for help.

“You’re with the patient now?” the dispatcher asks just as the assistant responds, “I was, I’m downstairs. There are other people went in. We just need to get somebody out here.”

As the call continues, the singer’s assistant asks the dispatcher for discretion.

“Wait, no sirens please, right?” she asks, but the dispatcher replies, “No no, this is a medical emergency. I don’t have control over that. …This is definitely a medical emergency and we need to get there as fast as possible.”

Eventually, the caller says they can hear the sirens coming their way.

“Good job. Good luck, ok?” the dispatcher says just before they disconnect.

The 25-year-old singer remains hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
