Todd StefaniGwen Stefani kicked off her Las Vegas residency Just a Girl on Thursday night at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, and she says doing it has reminded her of how much she loves performing live.
“I don’t miss it at all. I’m so good to do my kids and do mom and hang out with my cute Blakey and all that, but then when I get up there I realize it’s in there still and I’m like, ‘OK, I need this attention still. I like it,'” she told ABC’s Good Morning America.
Gwen also told GMA that lately, she’s been in a “really amazing” place, partly due to her two-year relationship with her “cute Blakey” — boyfriend Blake Shelton.
“He’s just really an amazing all-around human, so I feel so grateful for that,” she said of the superstar country singer and Voice coach. “He’s inspired me so much. He’s changed my life.”
But as for wedding plans, Gwen would only say, ” I don’t know. I don’t know the future. All I know is that I have a lot to look forward to.”
Gwen’s three sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo are also a big part of her life but thought they’ll be in Vegas with her this summer, she claims they don’t really care too much that mom’s got a big show going on.
“Kids don’t want to know about that!” she insisted. “They want you to be their mom, so that’s what I do. I did get a text from Kingston before I went on stage. I was shocked! And it was like, ‘Mommy break a leg, I love you.'”
