Epic RecordsBoth Meghan Trainor and John Mayer are treating fans to new music on Thursday.
In the case of Meghan, it’s not unexpected: She’s already released one song, “No Excuses,” from her forthcoming album, so presumably, this new track is also from that project. It’s called “Let You Be Right,” and from the snippet Meghan posted on Instagram, it seems like a disco-influenced dance track. There’s even a graphic of a mirror ball spinning in the background.
Meghan’s also releasing what she calls an “extra” song tomorrow, called “Can’t Dance.”
As for John, he hasn’t released any solo material since 2017’s The Search for Everything. His new song is evidently called “New Light, One Night,” or some combination of those words — it’s hard to tell from the Instagram graphic.
There’s no snippet, but John does write that it was produced by himself and No I.D., a top hip-hop producer best known for his work with JAY-Z and Kanye West.
Look for both songs to be released early tomorrow, Thursday.
