“The Voice” recap: Janelle Monáe performs, and Adam Levine loses an artist

Tyler Golden/NBC/2018 NBCUniversal MediaOn Tuesday’s episode of The Voice, the 11 artists who performed on Monday learned that Sharane Calister, from Adam Levine’s team, was sent home. The night also featured Janelle Monáe performing “Make Me Feel,” off her new album Dirty Computer, available now.

Calister was eliminated at the end of the one-hour results show. She lost an “Instant Save” vote to Christiana Danielle, from Team Alicia Keys.

There are now 10 artists remaining in the competition, including those of Teams Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson.

Prior to the vote, Calister and Danielle sang for an opportunity to be saved by the viewers. Calister performed Beyoncé’s “If I Were a Boy,” and Danielle covered “A Thousand Years,” by Christina Perri.

The results show also featured Adam joining his team for a group performance of Coldplay’s “The Scientist,” and Alicia leading her team in version of The Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter.”

The Voice returns Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
