In addition to all the fun the three will have on stage, Charli tells People she’s hoping they’ll be able to collaborate on new music together as well.
“They’re both such great writers so I’d love to write with them while we’re out on the road,” she says of Taylor and Camila. “That’d be really amazing. I think it’s awesome that it’s going to be an all-girl tour.”
She’s already worked with Camila in the studio multiple times before and said the experience was “really inspiring.”
“Writing with other females who are really prolific writers is always so much fun,” she says. “Everybody has different touch points in their life and [things] they want to write about, but it is nice to share that female perspective when writing.”
While she hasn’t written with Taylor before, the superstar did previously invite Charli to sing onstage with her during her 1989 tour stop in Toronto. The two performed Charli’s hit “Boom Clap.”
“We had a great time, and I got to go on one of those Britney [Spears] lifts where you stand and [the stage] raises you up,” Charli recalls. “I was like, ‘Whoa, this is crazy!’ She’s always been very kind to me and I’m very excited for the tour.”
The Reputation stadium tour kicks off May 8 in Glendale, Arizona.
