David Guetta/Sia collabo “Flames” gets ninja-tastic video starring Danny Trejo

What A Music LTD / Parlophone / Big Beat / Atlantic Records“Flames,” the new empowerment anthem from Sia and David Guetta, now has an official music video, and it’s a hilarious, intentionally cheap-looking send-up of every martial arts movie ever.

The clip stars legendary tough-guy actor Danny Trejo as “The Master,” an elderly and wise Asian martial arts teacher with magical powers. He’s training three young women by having them do things like catch flies with chopsticks, and doing handstands with pails of water tied to their legs.

When evil ninjas attack the training camp, the women fight them off momentarily, but they surround “The Master,” who laughs and allows himself to be struck down, just like Obi-Wan Kenobi did with Darth Vader in Star Wars.

The women are then handcuffed and led to the evil “Emperor,” played by Guetta, who can shoot magical fire out of his hands.  Remembering their training, they slip their bonds and engage in a Kill Bill-inspired sword battle. When the Emperor knocks them out with his fire, “The Master” reappears as a ghost-like figure, just like Obi-Wan, and encourages the women to get up and fight back.

The women then grab the Emperor’s hands so he’s shooting his magical fire directly into his own crotch. He eventually explodes, and “The Master” smiles approvingly at his students. The End.

Guetta has a number of shows planned this month, including this weekend in Las Vegas.
