Mike Posner launching fellowship program for aspiring artists

Don Le StudioMike Posner is ready to help aspiring artists.

The singer/songwriter/poet will be launching the Amor Fati Music Academy fellowship program this May in Telluride, Colorado.

The program will pick five aspiring artists to take part in a week-long immersion into songwriting, producing and computer software. They’ll be coached by various industry veterans – including Posner and Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine — on how to make their own songs from start to finish. They’ll also learn nutrition, fitness and meditation practices.

“I’m at the point in my career where I don’t want to devote all my energy to making myself more and more successful, and I want to dedicate some of my energy to helping other people be successful in the music industry as well,” Mike says in a statement.

He adds that the program will purposely contain more mentors than mentees so “the level attention for the mentees will be unparalleled.”

Applications open today at AmorFatiMusicAcademy.org. The deadline for submission is March 30.

The fellowship program will run from May 16 through May 23.
