Hedi SlimaneMy, my, my! Troye Sivan has quite the big name guest-starring on his upcoming album.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1 on Friday, Troye confessed that he had “at least one” featured on his forthcoming album. At first, he pretended he didn’t want to spill the beans as to who it is, but then he ‘fessed up: it’s Ariana Grande.
So how did the two end up singing together? Troye explained, “Not to be ‘that guy,’ but her and I, we’re actually kind of, like, friends and we met probably for the first time maybe two years ago or something like that, and we just kept in touch.”
“So then we were hanging out,” he continued. “And I was playing her music and I was just like ‘Would you ever sing on this one song’ ….and she was like, “Please. This is gonna be really fun” so she just did it, and it sounds exactly like I dreamt it would.”
Troye also tweeted, “Yes!!! The rumours are trumours!! @arianagrande is my pop queen and i can’t wait for you guys to hear our song.”
Troye’s sophomore album, the follow-up to his debut Blue Neighbourhood, will be out this spring.
