Getty Images via ABCPeople magazine on Friday reported Olympic skater Adam Rippon, the first openly gay man on Team USA, brushed off criticism he’s received for his political comments by telling a reporter, “Haters are just fans in denial.” His comment inspired Britney Spears to declare herself on Team Adam.
“Hey @Adaripp…. I just wanted let you know that I am a fan, I am not in denial, and that you are THE MOST FUN!! Keep making us all smile at the #WinterOlympics and good luck today,” she tweeted on Friday.
Fans were thrilled that Britney showed her support for Adam, with many fans responding with tweets proclaiming Britney to be “Queen of the Gays.”
So far, no response from Adam.
