Rosalind O’Connor/NBCNow that Taylor Swift‘s new album Reputation is out, many fans are dissecting each lyric and trying to determine who the songs are about. The promo for Taylor’s appearance on Saturday Night Live tomorrow plays off the public’s obsession with who inspires her music.
Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish, the first black female comedian to host SNL, opens the promo by saying, “Hi, I’m Tiffany Haddish and I’m hosting SNL with Taylor Swift!” Taylor then turns to Tiffany and says, “I just want to say that I’m so excited that we’re doing SNL together!”
But Tiffany interrupts Tay’s gushing, saying, “Listen, listen, I just wanna know: are any of those new songs about me?”
“Well, no,” Taylor responds.
“Well, can we pretend that they are?” Tiffany says. “Absolutely,” Taylor confirms.
“Heyyyy! I made it on an album!” yells Haddish, and both women start doing a victory dance.
