At an event for her new partnership with Reebok, around the time her Dangerous Woman tour was ending, the singer told The Coveteur that what happened in Manchester was the most traumatic thing she has ever been through. However, she explained that she felt the need to keep the tour going for the fans.
“Calling it off and going home was not an option,” she said. “The message of the show was too important. For the crew and everyone involved, it’s become more than just a show for us. We are really grateful to be here and really grateful for this show.”
Twenty-two people were killed and more than a hundred wounded when a bomb went off outside the Manchester Arena on May 22 following Ariana’s concert there.
Two weeks after the tragedy, Ariana organized the One Love Manchester benefit concert. She resumed the European leg of her tour on June 7.
