Drake, Chance the Rapper, Chole x Halle and more react to the passing of Juice WRLD

David Wolff-Patrick/RedfernsThe unexpected death of Juice Wrld on Sunday morning left both fans and celebrities shocked and heartbroken.

The 21-year-old up-and-coming rapper, who scored a #1 Billboard 200 album this year with Death Race for Love, died after suffering a seizure while walking through Chicago’s Midway International Airport.

“I would like to see all the younger talent live longer and I hate waking up hearing another story filled with blessings was cut short,” wrote Drake on Instagram.

“Rip juice,” tweeted Lil Nas X. “So sad how often this is happening lately to young talented rising artists.”

“Wow I can’t believe this R.I.P. @JuiceWorlddd,” wrote Three 6 Mafia frontman Juicy J on Twitter. “Prayers up for his family.”

LL Cool JKehlani and Beyonce protégés Chloe x Halle also paid their respects, meanwhile Chance the Rapper offered a more emotional message.

“I really wish we had more talks like that one night in LA,” Chance wrote on Instagram. “Millions of people, not just in Chicago but around the world are hurting because of this and don’t know what to make of it.”

In a statement to ABC News, Juice’s label, Interscope Records, also commented on the rapper’s passing.

“Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time,” the statement read. “He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds…. To lose someone so kind and so close to our hearts is devastating.”

It’s worth nothing that just one month after Juice released his first studio album, Goodbye & Good Riddance, he dropped the 2-track EP, Too Soon, as a tribute to Lil Peep and XXXTentacion. On the track “Legends,” which talked about Lil Peep and XXXTentacion’s deaths, Juice raps, almost prophetically, “What’s the 27 club? We ain’t making it past 21.”
