Madonna bringing “Madame X” to theaters for “intimate” concert experiences

Live Nation/Interscope Records/ Maverick

After a string of record-breaking stadium tours, Madonna is looking to give her fans a more up-close and personal experience this time around.

The Queen of Pop will promote her upcoming album Madame X with a series of “rare and intimate performances” in theaters, including a date at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.  These shows will only be taking place in a limited number of cities, so it’s not clear if they’ll be followed by a larger, more extensive tour.

The North American theater shows will start September 12 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York with multiple nights, and will also include performances at the Chicago Theatre, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, The Met Philadelphia and The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre.

The tour will resume in early 2020 with shows at the Coliseum in Lisbon, the Palladium in London and at the Grand Rex in Paris.

Ticket requests can be submitted through the Madonna.LiveNation.com portal now through Friday at 11:59 p.m. ET.  You’ll find out May 19 if you managed to secure your tickets.  Every ticket purchased includes a copy of Madonna’s new album.

The shows announced today include seven in New York, four in Chicago and five in L.A. Here are the dates:

Sep. 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22,  Brooklyn, NY
Oct. 15, 16, 17, 21,  Chicago, IL
Nov.12, 13, 14, 16, 17,  Los Angeles, CA
