Trae Patton/NBCThis past weekend, Kelly Clarkson wrapped up her Meaning of Life tour, and now, one of her opening acts has taken to Instagram to gush about how great the experience was.
On Tuesday, Kelsea Ballerini, the country star who collaborated with The Chainsmokers on the hit song “This Feeling, wrote of on her time with Kelly, “The greatest gift as an opening act is having a front row seat to watch and learn how successful artists steer their ships.”
“Anyone who knows me knows I have always been a Kelly super fan,” Kelsea continues, “but after watching her flawlessly navigate a major tour while taping The Voice and being a wife and momma while never missing a note or a beat AND being kind to everyone and making sure we were all taken care of gave me a whole new lens of respect and love for this woman.”
Kelsea then continued, “And more than all of that, the biggest lesson and reminder from this tour is the beauty in authenticity. Kelly is the most open, warm, NORMAL, and not-scared-to-speak-her mind kind of spirit. And in a society that’s filtered and tuned to perfection, she reminded me that what’s more likable than being perfect is being real.”
Kelsea and Kelly have spent a lot of time together lately, since Kelsea’s also advising Kelly’s team during the Battle Rounds on The Voice this season.
Kelly will now focus on the forthcoming live episodes of The Voice, as well as prepping for the launch of her talk show this fall. Kelsea, meanwhile, is launching her own headlining tour.
