Justin Bieber apologizes for April Fools' Day pregnancy prank

Gotham/GC ImagesNot everyone was laughing at Justin Bieber’s April Fools’ Day pregnancy prank.

On Monday, he posted a fake sonogram and a series of photos of wife Hailey Baldwin touching her stomach, while lying on an examination table in what appeared to be a doctor’s office — strongly implying that the two were expecting their first child together.

But after Justin revealed it was just a joke, many called the singer out for being insensitive to those struggling with fertility issues.

Justin took to Instagram on Tuesday and apologized for the joke.

“There’s always gonna be people offended, there’s also people who don’t take jokes very well, I am a prankster and it was APRIL FOOLS,” he began. “I didn’t at all mean to be insensitive to people who can’t have children. A lot of people I know, their first go to prank on April fools is telling their parents they are pregnant to get a big reaction.”

He continued, “But I will apologize anyway and take responsibility and say sorry to people who were offended. I truly don’t want anyone to be hurt by a prank.”

Justin has said that he would like be a father someday, but even his mom Pattie Mallette wasn’t falling for the pregnancy post.

“I’m always on guard and ready for you today,” she commented, adding, “I am SO looking forward to the day y’all bringing me babies that are ‘GRAND’! You’re going to make BEAUTIFUL children and be GREAT parents when the time comes!!”

She joked, “Maybe just don’t call me Grandma. Or Nana. Or Nanny. Or… OKAY I DON’T KNOW IF I’M READY!”
