ABC/Image Group LATaylor Swift’s stalker, Roger Alvarado, pleaded guilty Monday to breaking into the singer’s New York City apartment last month.
Alvarado, 23, of Homestead, FL, accepted a plea deal in Manhattan Supreme Court. According to the New York Daily News, he’ll be sentenced on April 15 and is expected to get two to four years in prison.
Alvarado was arrested March 7 after he broke into a townhouse Taylor owns in New York’s TriBeCa neighborhood. He allegedly climbed a ladder to the townhouse, used a brick to break a glass window and then attempted to remove property from inside. Taylor wasn’t in the townhouse at the time, which is currently being renovated.
He was charged with stalking, burglary, felony criminal contempt for violating the order of protection, criminal mischief, and two counts of possession of burglary tools.
Taylor already has an order of protection against Alvarado from a 2018 incident, in which he broke into the same location, used her shower and was found sleeping in her bed.
After pleading guilty to that crime, he was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to complete a mental health program.
