In honor of National Car Care Month, which kicks off today, the non-profit Car Care Council conducted a nationwide survey to determine the top music artists car owners would want to listen to while getting ready to hit the road.
Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift all made the top 10. Bruno came in third, with 16.1% of the vote, while Gaga was in eighth with 11.5% and Taylor Swift was ninth with 8.6% of the vote.
While the respondents didn’t indicate which songs by those artists they’d like to listen to, we suggest Taylor’s “Getaway Car,” Gaga’s “Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)” or Bruno’s “Uptown Funk,” where he calls for his stretch limo so he can ride to “Harlem, Hollywood, Jackson, Mississippi.”
Bruce Springsteen came in at number one in the poll with 24% of the vote, followed by country star Keith Urban at number two. Jimmy Buffett was number four and Beyonce was number ten.
More than 25,000 car owners age 18 to 65 cast their vote in the survey, answering the question, “Which recording artist would you want to listen to while preparing your vehicle for a road trip?”
