ABC/Rick RowellLady Gaga and Jeremy Renner have reportedly been spending a lot of time together recently, following the singer’s split with fiancé Christian Carino.
Now, sources tell Us Weekly that the Oscar-nominated actor actually helped her through the breakup.
“Chris didn’t treat Gaga very well toward the end of their [two-year] relationship, and she really leaned on Jeremy in the weeks after it ended,” the source says.
Another source adds that the Avengers actor was there for Gaga when she needed support.
“They’ve become super close and hang out all the time,” the insider says.
A source previously told Us Weekly that they didn’t believe the relationship between Gaga and Renner is romantic at this point, but noted that Gaga has already bonded with Renner’s six-year-old daughter Ava.
Gaga called things off with Carino in February, not long before she won the Oscar for Best Original Song for A Star Is Born’s “Shallow.”
