Tonya HarveyGwen Stefani is performing in Las Vegas in her Just a Girl residency, but she’s also giving back to the city.
On Thursday, the singer helped unveil the first-ever themed exam room for patients of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Nevada’s only childhood cancer outpatient treatment center. Working in partnership with the foundation, Gwen helped inspire the design of the room.
The brightly-colored room features images of Gwen’s favorite flower, sunflowers; bananas, to represent her song “Hollaback Girl”; and oranges, for her hometown of Anaheim in Orange County, California.
“Working with Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is, sincerely, one of the greatest opportunities to arise from my time in Las Vegas,” Gwen, a mother of three, says in a statement.
“I am so humbled to have the opportunity to work with Cure 4 The Kids to support the children who are treated here and, in a small way, bring a bit of joy to what I know is a difficult journey.”
As part of her residency, Gwen is also donating $1 of every ticket purchased to the foundation. So far, she’s raised more than $50,000.
